Woodhouse English-Greek Dictionary in DOCX and DSL

Post by Ξενοφάνης ὁ Βορήιος »

Χαίρετε ὦ φίλοι
I have the honor to introduce my work on the recognition of Woodhouse' English-Greek Dictionary.
There is the original: http://www.lib.uchicago.edu/efts/Woodhouse/
There is the text in the DOCX and DSL: https://mega.co.nz/#F!pBN0xTIA!DmJ34SWqsGL6UMnvUbMQJw

Long vowels are marked in red color, short — in blue color, mutual — in purple.
I'm Russian-speaking and I learn both Ancient Greek and English, but I speak Greek better than English, so I write in Greek.

Thank you! I have a large print copy, and your file is more useful.
“One might get one’s Greek from the very lips of Homer and Plato." "In which case they would certainly plough you for the Little-go. The German scholars have improved Greek so much.”

Σαῦλε, ἆρα κέκτησαι πλῆρες τὸ χειρόγραφον ἐξ οὗ ἀπόσπασμα φαίνει τὸ ἀϝατάρ σου; :)

Fine fine work Akemdwr.

I might try to covert it to other formats like for the OS X Dictionary. Would you consider storing it on some place like GitHub, perhaps in a format easily convertible to others like XDXF, so some of us that'd like to could submit corrections?

You could contribute here where it has been turned into a wiki format (and with many of its links pointing to LSJ).

I never did get around to that but I did convert it to SQLite and made a dictionary app for iOS. It's not available anywhere but I may make it so someday.
