I've been able to find most of the shortcuts on my mac keyboard, but this one I have not yet found, that is the one that distinguishes between εἱ and εἱ?
I did scan through some of the other posts here and I could see some PC shortcuts, but not Mac.
How do you type the εἱ with a hat on a mac?

Have you installed the Greek Polytonic keyboard?
If you switch to that keyboard, then "[" becomes the dead key for circumflex over smooth breathing, and the "{" (in other words, shift plus "[") becomes the dead key for a circumflex over rough breathing.
῏, ῟, εἶ, εἷ
Is that what you're looking for?
**EDIT**
Sorry, the dead keys in question are the dash "-" and underscore "_"... the problem is I normally type with Dvorak, which changes these to "[" and "{".
