Ha, I recall that a PhD student from Cambridge was doing something similar with Lin A/B , Phoenician etc but these are something else.

I've never done anything even remotely as imaginative out of gingerbread, but perhaps you'll allow me to go off-topic a bit and boast about my own achievements. At Christmas time, I often make a gingerbread church; I know that I'm not the only one, but as far as I'm aware, I'm the only one whose churchyard always has gravestones on it (and one year, even a small mausoleum for a wealthier family).
