Para 179 - #4 and 5

Post by maximo »

Hi, everybody,

I have a question:

How can I translate #4 and #5 from para 179?

I translated them as:

4. Artaxerxes will lead the army;

5. We are ready to ransom the soldiers.

But I think it's not correct.

Thank you

Maximo

Your answers are mostly correct. It is only a little thing to add : if we follow White's para 174 (ἄγω "bring" , middle "bring one’s own"), #4 would mean "Artaxerxes will lead his army". #5 seems correct to me.
What was the matter ?
