Verbi tempora

Post by pmda »

Orberg heads up Grammatica Latina in Cap. XIX with the above: Verbi tempora. What does this mean. Verbi is Neuter genitive and 'tempora' Nom. Pl. or Acc. Pl of Tempus. What can they possibly mean together?

As a grammatical term "tempus " means "tense" (in fact "tense" goes back to "tempus" through French), so it means "tenses of the verb".
