There is a Latin Wikipedia article about a spaceship.
https://la.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astronavis
Since the Latin Wikipedia does not use macrons for long vowels, I wonder if 'o' in 'astronāvis' is long or short.
Is it 'astrōnāvis' or 'astronāvis'?
Is 'o' in 'astronāvis' long or short?

Short. Cfr. astrologia etc., which are compounds of ἄστρον

And how about the first a-, bedwere? It's a "hidden" vowel. Cognate Lat. stella suggests short?
