Hi everyone!
I stumbled across this forum when I was trying to find out if it is better to learn Ancient or Modern Greek first and I learnt, kind of annoyingly, that I should be starting with Ancient not Modern and I had been going at it the other way around... But we live and we learn and I am glad I learnt that so early on in my journey.
I want to study a Classics degree and am currently learning Latin and (attempting to learn) Greek to help me with that. My ultimate goal is to read Sappho's work in the original Aeolic Greek and to write a PhD on her because she is just so fascinating!
I just finished reading Mary Beards SPQR and am hoping to move onto reading either the Iliad, the Odyssey or Sophocles' Three Theban Plays. I'm gonna see what I am feeling like.
I can't wait to get involved with the forum and all of the lovely people on here!
