Hi!
I am a self-learner of Latin and Ancient Greek and began around ten years ago. In Greek I use First Greek Writer by Arthur Sidgwick, together with First Greek Course by Sir William Smith when I have to look up terminations or words. My goals are to read the original works. I am right now at exercise 98 in First Greek Writer, and I plan to use Introduction to Prose Composition by the same author afterwards. I have read book 1-4 of Anabasis and right now I’m reading Herodotus. The last thing I read in Latin was Harrius Potter 1, good read, and I’ve started reading The Aeneid.

Re: Hello
Very impressive! (Although books 5-7 of the Anabasis are even better than 1-4.)
“One might get one’s Greek from the very lips of Homer and Plato." "In which case they would certainly plough you for the Little-go. The German scholars have improved Greek so much.”
