Hello all,
Lurking on these forums occasionally, decided to sign up to be a part of the discussions! I am learning Latin, and really trying to get my stride. I can appreciate the Dowling Method but it’s just too dry for me, while I like Lingua Latina but just need to be more disciplined about it!
I am approaching the language from the Catholic perspective, where I am mostly interested in being able to pray the Divine Office and read the Vulgate Bible with some comprehension. Secondary interest is to be able to read the medieval texts in the original Latin, a more distant interest is the classical texts in Latin. Along the way I most certainly would like to be able to be fluent in speaking and writing! This is a language after all. That is why Lingua Latina is very interesting! Excited to get to work with you all.
