ὅ γε μερμήριζε κατὰ φρένα ὡς Ἀχιλῆα
τιμήσῃ, ὀλέσῃ δὲ πολέας ἐπὶ νηυσὶν Ἀχαιῶν.
Mss waver between F ind and subj. If I understand correctly, with F ind, the meaning is: how he will honor; with the subj, it means: he was anxious to honor, that is a final clause. Or, as some commentary says, it is a con. deliberativ., which is probably the case.
