"Tandemque potitus optatis nuptiis, amorem sequentis priori prætulit, serviens apud eum septem annis aliis." -Gen. 29:30 C. Vulgate
"And having at length obtained the marriage he wished for, he preferred the love of the latter before the former, and served with him other seven years." - Douay
At first I struggled with potitus optatis nuptiis, but resolved that after finding that nuptiis is not a participle of nubo but means wedding ceremony in singular. My question here is fairly simple I think: Is priori in dative or ablative? i.e. Praetulit+accusative+dative? Meaning that one prefers the accusative to the dative?

Yes, dative. See examples in the dictionary.
Corrections are welcome (especially for projects).
