Noctu tamen amici patris Jasonem ex urbe abstulerunt, et cum postero die ad regem REDIISSENT, ei renuntiaverunt puerum mortuum esse.
the verb in bold , rediissent I have only seen spelled with one i , taken from the conjugation of redeo(to return) so do I have a misspelling here or possibly an alternate spelling?
is this word misspelled?

Re: is this word misspelled?
Syncope ii => ivi
Syncopated perfect ivi can drop 'v' without contracting vowel
redeo, redire, redivi(ii), reditus
So no misspelling. Pluperfect 3 pl subjunctive.

Persuade tibi hoc sic esse, ut scribo: quaedam tempora eripiuntur nobis, quaedam subducuntur, quaedam effluunt. Turpissima tamen est iactura, quae per neglegentiam fit. Et si volueris attendere, maxima pars vitae elabitur male agentibus, magna nihil agentibus, tota vita aliud agentibus.
